I'll show you how to get started, find your niche and monetise your blog with inspiration from successful bloggers.bloggers are introvert loggers are introvert
  • I am an introvert.
  • I am shy.
If you want to remain behind the scenes and write for the pure joy of it – that’s ok too!Nothing says you have to do a road tour and meet all of your readers.
But everyone I’ve heard from and talk to say the same thing:
so blogging isn't the easiest way to make money. However the great thing is that anyone can do it from the comfort of their home.
All you need is something interesting to say and enough patience and dedication to build traffic and a following. But how do successful bloggers make their money?
Here is how to make money from a blog:
  1. Set up your blog
  2. Start creating useful content
  3. Get off your blog and start finding readers
  4. Build engagement with the readers that come
Here’s how to make money from a blog.

1. Start a Blog

In order to make money blogging you’re going to need to have a blog. While this is pretty obvious it is also a stumbling block for many PreBloggers who come to the idea of blogging with little or no technical background.
If that’s you – don’t worry! It was my story too and most bloggers start out feeling a little overwhelmed by the process of starting their blog.

Free blogging platforms

Best for: Casual bloggers and those not interested in making money from their blog
Pros: Super easy to set up and completely free
Cons: Limits on customisation and video/image uploads, you often can't place adverts or use affiliate links, you can't create a custom URL and the platform retains the right to delete your blog.
There are a lot of platforms out there which allow you to set up a blog for free. You can be up and running in minutes, and it doesn't take any technical knowledge to do so - it's as easy as setting up a Facebook profile.
If you're just wanting to blog casually and you're not that interested in making any money from it, then this could suit you perfectly.
However, if you're really serious about blogging then a free blogging platform can be very limiting. You'll only be able to customise to a limited extent, and your blog will have a storage limit which could impact your ability to upload videos and images.
Plus, your blog URL will look something like 'www.yourblog.wordpress.com' - you won't be able to get rid of the blog platform branding.
While some money-making options will be open to you, most free blogging platforms don't allow you to place banner adverts or affiliate links on your site, which are key revenue stream for most bloggers.
However, if none of these things particularly bother you, here's a quick run down of the best free blogging platforms out there:
• WordPress.com: Not to be confused with WordPress.org which allows you to create your own website, WordPress.com is a free basic blog hosting service that's easy to use. However, you will have to put up with WordPress ads and branding unless you pay a monthly fee, and you can't put advertisements on your site. There are also limited options for customisation and expansion
• Blogger: This is Google's free blog hosting service, and it's incredibly easy to use. However, the design options and customisation are very limited, and there aren't a lot of options if you want to add new features
• Medium: With Medium the emphasis is all on the writing rather than design, and it's used by lots of journalists, writers and experts. It's a great way to connect with and promote yourself to a particular community, but you can't run any ads and it's difficult to create your own personal branding
• Tumblr: This is a micro-blogging platform, so it's more of a cross between a blog and a social media account. Social media and sharing functions are integrated throughout, and it's useful for blogging videos, GIFs and images. Again, there's not a lot of customisation or design features here.

2. Start Creating Useful Content

A blog is not a blog without content so once you’ve set your blog up you need to focus your attention upon creating useful content. What you choose to create will depend a little on the topic that you choose to write about (most successful bloggers have some focus to their blogging whether that be a niche or a demographic that they write for).
The key with creating content is to make it as useful as possible. Focus upon creating content that changes people’s lives in some way will be the type of content that people will value the most and it will help people to feel like they know, like and trust you – which is really important if you later want to make money from your blog.

3. Get off your blog and start finding readers

As you create the most useful content that you possibly can it is easy to get very insular with your focus and spend most of your time looking at building your blog. Many bloggers have a ‘build it and they will come mentality’ with their blogging but this is a bit of a trap.
If you want to make money from your blog you need to not only focus upon building a great blog but it is also necessary to get off your blog and to start promoting it.you shouldn't only be looking for traffic but also readers.
Start by thinking carefully about the type of reader you’d like to have read your blog. You might like to create an avatarof that reader(sometimes called a reader persona or profile) to help you work out who you’re trying to attract.
Once you know who you’re hoping to have read your blog ask yourself where that type of person might already be gathering online. Begin to list where they might be gathering:
Each of these places that you reader might already be gathering has opportunities to develop a presence whether that be by leaving good comments, offering to create guest posts or simply by being helpful and answering questions.
With this list of blogs, focus, podcasts, social media accounts in hand you will have some good spots to begin to hang out and create value.
The key is to build a presence, to add value, to foster relationships – not to engage in spammy practices.

4. Build engagement with the readers that come

With sustained focus upon creating great content and finding readers for your blog you’ll begin to notice people visiting your blog and engaging with your content.
At this point you need to switch your focus to engaging with those readers and building community.
Respond to comments, reach out to those readers personally and do everything that you can to keep them coming back again and again by building a 'sticky' blog.
Look after the readers you already have well and you’ll find they spread the word of your blog for you and help make your blog even more widely read.
Having an engaged reader is also much easier to make money from.

Include Affiliate Links in Your Content

Affiliate marketing is also another great tool for monetizing your blog. Here is how affliction marketing works:
  1. An advertiser has a product she wants to sell. She agrees to give you a commission from each sale if the buyer is coming from your site.
  2. She gives you a unique link that tracks your affiliate code. That way, she knows when a buyer used your link to make a purchase.
  3. You include your affiliate link on your site. You can do this directly in the content or through banner ads. If a reader clicks on your unique link and buys the product you have recommended, you earn a percentage of what she purchased.
You can utilize affiliate marketing through ad networks like amazon associates, or you can create private partnerships with advertisers and businesses with an affiliate program.
